Welcome to a Holistic, Integrative Approach to Psychiatry
Healing is never one-size-fits-all. You deserve more than a 15-minute medication check and a quick fix that does not address the roots of your problem.
In my telehealth practice, we slow down and look at the whole picture of your wellbeing — emotional, physical, cognitive, energetic, environmental, and spiritual — so we can understand what your mind and body are communicating, and how to create the conditions for healing.
As an integrative psychiatrist, I blend mindful and somatic psychotherapy with evidence based complementary modalities such as mindfulness, breathwork, EMDR, EFT, exercise, nutrition, eco-therapy, supplements, and — when truly needed — medication. The goal is always the same: deeper whole-body healing, not just symptom suppression.
Areas of Expertise:
Depression
Anxiety
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
Climate distress and eco-anxiety
Burnout, overwhelm, and chronic stress
Fatigue, pain, and stress-related health concerns
Deprescribing & tapering medications
Women’s mental health, including
medication reduction for pregnancy planning
postpartum depression
perimenopause
the emotional load of caregiving and work–family balance
My approach is collaborative and personalized — rooted in time, presence, and the belief that your mind and body are always in conversation, always guiding the way toward healing when we learn how to listen.
Not in Ohio? If you’re interested in my integrative approach but live outside Ohio, you can explore my book: Healing Depression Without Medication: A Psychiatrist’s Guide to Balancing Mind, Body, and Soul, which offers many of the same tools and practices I use in my clinical work.
If you are seeking help with non-clinical issues like stress, climate distress, or nervous system regulation, I also have a coaching practice that you can find out more about at www.jodieskillicorn.com/coaching
